Missions & Outreach
Our mission as a church is to go to the world to make disciples by preaching the Gospel by the Spirit's power and then gather those disciples into churches. We want to equip you for this mission whether it's putting Jesus on display and sharing the Gospel at your local job, or entering global ministry to declare Jesus to the nations.
Missions & Missionaries
Missions is central to Fellowship Baptist Church. At least 12% of our budget is devoted to support missionaries who are taking the gospel to the nations (Matt. 28:18-20; 1 Pet. 2:9-10). Not only do we send missionaries overseas, but we also send teams from our church on short-term missions trips as well. Additionally, as part of the SBC we are also in support of the IMB. Southern Baptist Convention
Fellowship Riverside is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC, also known as Great Commission Baptists). The SBC is a voluntary association of over 40,000 churches cooperating together for missional purposes. These churches seek to cooperate with one another as Southern Baptist churches in an effort to reach the lost.
Outreach
We currently have multiple efforts of reaching out to our local community. We host special events at Fellowship Baptist Church with the intention of blessing our local families and creating Gospel opportunities. We also have members participating in various community services. We would love for you to join them and we provide training to equip you to better know, love, and share the Gospel. If you would like to learn more, our Missions & Outreach Team meets quarterly (usually on the fifth Sunday) to pray and discuss opportunities and ideas. It is our joy to support our members who are seeking to declare Jesus to the nations by participating in short term trips. If you are a member or associate member and you are participating in a short term trip, please fill out this application for funding.
